Before we left Paul, Laurie, Kaleigh & Scott gave us a present, it was a credit card with some spending money on it. We had a great time at their house, and highly recommend choc chip waffles with whipped cream and maple syrup (for breakfast).
We got to the airport by car and train. Dad handed our bags over to a woman. For a snack we had lemonade and a wrap. Then we waited until we could board the plane.
When we got on the plane went to see the pilot and sat in his uncomfortable seat. After that I did sudoku. For a snack we shared melon, crisps and apple juice. About two thirds of the way me and mum swapped seats. Then we swapped again ie, me and mum, so I could look out of the window for landing.

You get used to the seats - the first 30 years are the worst. Martin Baker seats are definitely the most uncomfortable and they get really sore if you pull the handle (or so they tell me)
